Snow Day

These pictures are from the "big" snow storm that hit NC last night. Granted, for a Southern state, this is perhaps a lot. You would have thought the next blizzard was on its way. As usual, Southerners drive like crazy people who don't understand that ice is slippery, alas making Shawn's journey to work an interesting (yet safe, thank God) experience. School (as well as the whole county of Alamance) was closed, so I was able to stay nestled inside with Dubs and Quincy.

Football

On the coldest day of the year (in NC anyway) we decided to play a pickup game of football. It was fun, but I was hurtin' for a couple days after.

Backyard Update

Below are a few pics of the 7 truckloads of red dirt that I had delivered on Saturday. A long day of shoveling and raking followed. There is still some smoothing out to be done, but its almost complete! It has to settle for a couple weeks, then I can start with the fence and seeding.
